COVIDSafe - Providing a safe place for all U3APP Members

U3APP COVIDSafe policies, plans and procedures align and comply with the public health orders and directives of the Victorian State Government and the conditions of venue hire set out by the City of Port Phillip Council and are ratified by the U3APP Committee of Management.

Because COVIDSafe circumstances can change quickly, these are closely monitored to ensure the U3APP policies, plans and procedures align with any changes whenever they occur.

Compliance

Compliance with all U3APP rules and conditions of entry ensures that we are providing a safe place for all Members, that we minimise any risks and that the organisation responsibly meets its duty of care obligations to all its Members.

Non-compliance is managed according to the policies and procedures clearly set out in the U3APP Policies & Procedures Manual (available on the U3APP website):

  • 4.1 Code of Conduct Policy
  • 4.1.e Grievance Policy and Non-compliance resolution procedures - Health & Safety and conditions of entry

In the event of non-compliance with any of the Conditions of Entry, the U3APP Office Volunteer or Tutor will inform the person: “I am required to request that you comply with…rule or condition of entry. If there is non-compliance I am expected to refer the matter to the Health & Safety Officer.”

Exemptions

Please contact the U3APP Health & Safety Officer (hso@u3app.org.au) if you are seeking approval for a mask exception or vaccination exemption.

(Note also that from 6:00pm 12 November 2021, you can no longer use a medical certificate as evidence of COVID-19 vaccination exemption and your doctor needs to update your record on the Australian Immunisation Register).
Every member of U3APP has the right to:

  • feel safe and secure;
  • a supportive and positive learning environment;
  • participate in learning, social and recreational opportunities;
  • make a complaint and receive prompt and fair resolution thereof;
  • have access to guidelines, policies and procedures adopted by U3APP.

How to Enrol

On-line: after bookings have opened

On-line enrolments are preferred as this significantly reduces the amount of back-office work for our volunteers.

  • Login to the U3APP.org.au website.
  • Go to the Courses & Enrolling page.
  • Scroll down to find the course that you are interested in.
  • Does the course have spaces available?
    • Click on the course name to go to the booking page.
    • Click on “Book for this course or event”.
    • You will receive a confirmation email.  Please check your Junk/Spam folders as these automatically-generated emails often finish up there.
  • OR is the course shown as FULL?
    • Click on WAITLIST.

Paper Enrolment Form: before bookings open for First Semester

  • Obtain a paper Enrolment Form either from the Office or by printing an online copy available here.
  • Complete the paper Enrolment Form and submit it to the Office.

The start date for acceptance of paper Enrolment Forms for first semester is published on the U3APP website and in the e-Bulletin. Enrolment Forms received before this date are treated as though they had been received on the start date (ie there is no advantage to be gained by submitting early). On the start date and thereafter, paper Enrolment Forms are numbered in order of receipt.  Paper Enrolment forms are processed by U3APP volunteers on the same day as on-line bookings.

If your enrolment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email.  Please check your Junk/Spam folders as these automatically-generated emails often finish up there.

If your enrolment is unsuccessful,  you will receive an email telling you that you have been waitlisted.
