The class is conducted in Italian to develop participants’ fluency and listening skills. Class members take turns to lead a weekly news discussion activity in Italian. We will also be using the textbook Raccontare il Novecento by P.Brogini, A.Filippone & A.Muzzi (Edilingua Edizioni 2005), a collection of extracts from some major Italian writers of the 20th century – this book is available on order from Language International Bookshop, East Kew.
REQUIREMENTS: Very good understanding of Italian grammar to participate in discussion in Italian in a group setting. Should have the set textbook (see above). Members who have not been in this course before should leave a message for Lorraine with the U3APP Office so that she can contact them and check their proficiency in Italian
TUTOR: Lorraine is pleased to share her love of Italian language and culture, developed over many years. She studied Italian at La Trobe University and has enjoyed refresher courses in Italy.
Classes will be held on Zoom if COVID-19 restrictions do not allow Face-2-Face Classes
No Classes 14 March (Labour Day), 25 April (Anzac Day), 13 June (Queen’s B’Day)
