You won’t learn how to read sheet music, but you will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of music: timbre, tempo, meter, pitch, tonality, melody, texture and harmony. Delivered from videos from the Great Courses Company, with Professor Robert Greenberg, who is the composer of some 45 major works of music. He has an engaging delivery style, guaranteed to educate and entertain an audience. We will view two video chapters per session, with each video being about 45 minutes in length.

REQUIREMENTS: Enthusiasm and a desire to learn.

TUTOR: Jim was educated in the USA, coming to Australia to formulate research programs for the Victorian Government. Over the past 3 years, he has tutored courses on ancient Egyptian history, histories and cultures of the Olmec, Maya and Aztec in central America, ancient civilizations of North America, as well as courses on the evolution of the English language and vocabulary enhancement.
