Other information
This course will comprise discussion and presentation of the lives and works of a range of photographers based on publicly available videos, films, documentaries, interviews, readings or attendance at exhibitions. For each photographer there will also be an underlying conceptual question to frame the discussion. It is, however, expected that a few (not all) members may volunteer to lead the discussion for an individual session, in much the same way as people volunteer to review a film.
REQUIREMENTS: Access to Netflix, YouTube, IView, and SBS on Demand
An interest in how photographers as individuals, flawed or otherwise, have explored, captured, exposed, exploited, contributed, enhanced or otherwise impacted on our changing lives and societies. Students will not be expected to take photos or display any work, in fact they don’t have to own a camera or even take photographs on an iPhone.
TUTOR: Rob’s interests include photography and film
