This course will explore some lesser-known parts of the world in terms of their culture, history and geography, as well as the experience they offer to the traveller.
We will consider and visit places such as Northern Siberia and Wrangel Island, Costa Rica, The Falklands and South Georgia, Namibia, Bhutan, Tibet, Ladakh, Greenland and Svalbard. Each session will start with some background information, then follow with photographic illustration. Participants will be able to ask questions or share their own experiences if they are familiar with the region being explored.
REQUIREMENTS: Computer or tablet sufficient to enjoy landscape photography
TUTOR: Libby’s passions embrace walking, wilderness, wildlife and Wagner. She has a deep interest in the natural environment and has been in involved in environmental advocacy and protection. She has travelled to many far flung places in the world as well as widely in Australia.
Libby has B.Comm, Grad.Dip in Marketing, B.Letters (Philosophy) degrees. In the dim distant past she gave some courses at U3APP on Eastern Traditions (Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism).
