Other information

This course explores healing, finding a deeper connection to yourself and transformation. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by the ‘laying on of hands’ and is based on the idea that an unseen ‘life force energy’ flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s ‘life force energy’ is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Reiki Level 1 is your first step in experiencing the powerful energy of Reiki and how it can expand your own capacity for self-love and healing. Immerse yourself in a course that allows you to learn Reiki in an intimate setting and integrate your learning between each session. There will be time for reflection and discussion as we explore themes of energy, healing, self-love and Reiki principles. Experience your sacred initiation to Reiki energy and develop confidence in your own self-healing practices and rituals as well as offering Reiki to loved ones.

REQUIREMENT: Journal and writing materials

TUTOR: Helen had always been spiritually curious but as she moved into adulthood, the demands of a career as a secondary teacher along with being a partner and mother, meant that she had little time to explore this aspect of herself. There were moments of struggle (in spite of how purposeful her life felt at the time) and an awareness that there was something ‘missing’. The missing piece was a greater connection with herself. Fast forward and some challenging personal circumstances led to Helen seeing a Reiki practitioner for a healing treatment. That was the beginning of a new phase in her life. Her experience of Reiki led to Helen embracing the study of Reiki and becoming a practitioner in her own right.
Helen has been an educator, in one way or another, for most of her life and she brings this love of learning to her work in the Reiki sphere. She is a Reiki Master Teacher and coach; her goal is to empower others to be the best version of themselves..
