A discussion-based class which explores emerging issues in society from a philosophical perspective. These include ethical questions arising from new technologies such as AI, robotics, biological modification, as well as those arising from new social formations.
Internet resources are recommended in preparation for each class.
TUTOR: Maurita Harney has taught and researched philosophy at a number of universities, and is Honorary Senior Fellow in philosophy at Melbourne University.
