This is a series of twenty-four 35-minute video lectures on one of the least known cultures located in a well-known tourist destination, Tuscany, Italy. The Etruscans co-existed with early Greeks, Romans and Carthaginians and contributed considerably to Roman culture, including the toga, temples, major elements of art, writing, religion, sculptures and much more. Etruscan written documents are yet to be translated.
NOTE: Two videos will be presented in each session, with a short break between them.

TUTOR: Jim has presented a number of courses at U3APP, including the evolution of the English language, histories of ancient civilisations in North, South and Central Americas, Egyptian pharaohs , perception, vocabulary and a host of other courses. Jim has a BSc and MSc in biological sciences from Oregon State University, USA. He was on the U3APP CoM from 2018 to 2021
and a member of the COVID-19 Working Group.
