Other information
Spain is described as a cultural crossroads shaped by its geography between Western Europe, North Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Atlantic. The history of the Iberian Peninsula was formed by waves of settlers and conquerors over hundreds of thousands of years, beginning with Palaeolithic hunter-gatherers who transformed the land through agriculture. Later groups such as the Phoenicians, Greeks, and Celtic tribes brought new technologies, ideas, plants, animals, and cultural influences, helping create the diverse regions and rich cultural identity that define Spain today.
This series of 12 lectures utilises 24 DVDs of 30 minutes duration followed by a discussion.
Anyone with an interest in Spain will be keen to join the discussion especially as Greg will have just returned from walking the 800 km Camino de Santiago
TUTOR: Greg is an accomplished presenter and has travelled widely – visiting over 70 countries since back-packing around Europe at the age of 20.
He has previously presented stories at U3APP from his yet to be completed memoir “Arrested in Laos and other hair-raising travel experiences”.
