Other information
Humans and our hunter forebears have been eating meat for millennia, often little else. Since the 1970s, animal meat and animal fat have been under attack from many directions. We will have a close look at the science and the societal pressures that are at play. This session will be valuable for anyone with an interest in personal health.
In 2014, having retired after forty years as a GP and weighing 108 kilos, John Beaney commenced an in-depth study of nutrition, changed his diet, lost 24 kilos, and commenced sharing with other U3A members his understanding of nutrition-related subjects.
