A Yin Yoga class will work on fascia and connective tissue. This is a relaxing class done on the floor. The class aims to increase flexibility and joint health, It can be meditative and relaxing.
The class is suitable for all people with the exception of those with hypermobility. Alternative poses are offered to deal with osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.
REQUIREMENTS: Students to provide their own yoga mat, yoga block or cushion, water.
TUTOR: Julie completed her yoga training at Power Living, and is also qualified in Yin Yoga.
She had recently completed a yoga for seniors course at Duke University in North Carolina which dealt with the medical issues most common for over 65s and the learnings for yoga practice.
