Other information

This is an Intermediate German class. To be able to enjoy your learning experience you will have a basic knowledge of German through school, university, time spent in Germany/Austria/Switzerland, CAE courses or similar.
We read and discuss German stories, poems, newspaper articles, etc with an emphasis on improving language as well as understanding German culture.

Tolerance and a sense of humour are essential.

In 2019 we will introduce an intermediate to advanced level textbook, which students will use at home and in class. The title will be announced. The cost will be around $40. Students would have to obtain their own copies, but this can be done at the beginning of the year, as we will start off with some other material.

REQUIREMENTS: To be able to enjoy this class, students should have studied German at high school or beyond.

TUTOR: Gudrun is a native German speaker who studied German Culture and Literature at University.
