You have a command of the French language and its grammar (how to analyse a sentence consisting of verbs,
adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, direct and indirect objects, etc.). You can understand and convey messages, have simple face to face conversations and talk about activities you like or dislike. You can organise your shopping, holiday planning or hotel reservations for instance, even if you make some mistakes.
You will be able to take dictations and work in groups to prepare a presentation on a particular topic with your fellow students and present it to your tutor. You will have a good knowledge of the present, passé composé, imparfait and future tenses as these will form part of exercises.
