This course is designed for students who have completed a beginners course. They will have a good understanding of how to pronounce words (vowels and consonants) and a good knowledge of the present tense of regular and irregular verbs.
Lessons presented around themes will consist of reading, vocabulary and grammar – present tense of regular, irregular and reflexive verbs and past tense (passé-composé).
All lessons will be conducted in English with interactive French sessions/ exercises for the students.
REQUIRED TEXT: Basic French – Premium Second Edition – Eliane Kurbegov (McGraw Hill Education).
TUTOR: Catherine, a French woman who has been living in Australia since 1993, is a fluent English and French speaker, and also has a very good knowledge of Spanish. Although Catherine has no formal teaching qualifications she did study languages at university in France.
Catherine and her husband visit France most years as her family resides there
