The course will cover information about the history of the singer and background to each song, and will include a loose translation, with focus on clear pronunciation and singing the song by the class in French.
Subject to the success of the course, the members of the class will also be encouraged to sing all the songs in mini concerts at the end of the year in October and November at the U3A Seniors Week Concert.
REQUIREMENTS: Basic knowledge of French, with a positive attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to sing.
NOTE: No audition necessary. No music note reading required.
TUTOR: David is an experienced singer and performer who has sung with choirs and organised musical groups over many years.
David studied French language and literature at Grammar School to A-level standard. He has a general knowledge of French, having worked regularly in Brussels and in France over many years.
