Tutor/Facilitator Susanne Shaw
Date: on/from Thu 1 Feb 2024 to Thu 27 Jun 2024
Class time: 10:30-12:00
Mary Kehoe Centre, Hall
Term One: A visual diary can be a record of surroundings, of travel, of artistic experimentation. It represents the gathering of ideas and experimenting with materials for the pleasure of working.
This course takes a very broad approach in order to encourage individual expression. Each week will offer an introduction to materials and techniques as well as ideas. This includes drawing, painting, collage and manipulation of photographic material.
Term 2: Progression of ideas
REQUIREMENTS: This course is suitable for those new to art and to art practitioners. First week, if you have a sketchbook bring it, but please don’t buy one until we have shared an introduction. I can also buy sketchbooks in bulk. I will supply all materials for the first day.
TUTOR: Susanne has more than thirty five years of experience teaching drawing, design, illustration, painting and film at tertiary level.
No class on 25 April
NOTE: Due to City of Port Phillip children’s immunisation program, classes cannot be held in the Mary Kehoe Hall on the third Thursday of the month. The tutor will advise class members of alternative arrangements.
