4E20 Kundalini Yoga (Intermediate Level) **

Kundalini Yoga incorporates Hatha Yoga asanas, as well as specific Kyrias (actions) for Kundalini Yoga with specific emphasis on the chakras. This practice will include Pranayama (breath work), meditation and some mantra/chants (will be included from time to time).
This class is structured for 90 minutes to allow sufficient time for Savasana, warm-up, Pranayama and meditation towards the end of the class. While asanas will occupy the majority of time, there will be time to focus on alignments for different poses.

REQUIREMENTS: Kundalini Yoga and/or Hatha Yoga experience. This practice is aimed at students who wish to further their current yoga practice to a more intermediate level. Suitable for students with a reasonable level of fitness and flexibility who are looking for a more progressive practice.
Students will need a Yoga mat and a block or Yoga cushion for sitting (if required).

NOTE: This course is NOT suitable for beginners.

TUTOR: Peter has been a regular yoga practitioner in different styles of yoga for a number of years, Kundalini yoga for the last 2½ years. He finally decided to do his Level 1 Yoga Teachers Training course in Kundalini Yoga in Rishekesh, India (often referred to as the home of yoga).
As a tutor Peter has completed two Introductory Courses for Kundalini Yoga (Terms 2 and 3) as well as a Post Beginners Course (in Term 3, continuing in Term 4). He has also been teaching two other classes outside of U3APP.
