Other information

Inexpensive and relatively easy to play, the ukulele is perfect for communal
music-making. This group is open to beginners only and classes will focus on
attaining physical ease at playing basic chords and strums to accompany
songs. Some singing is involved, but you don’t need to be a great singer to
join this group.

NOTE: If you have had some experience with ukulele or guitar, the Ukulele
Intermediate group (Beaut Ukes) may be a more suitable group for you.
Please contact Minuk at minukrichards@gmail.com if you have any queries.
Not suitable for new beginners in Term 4.

REQUIREMENTS: Ukulele, tuning app (on phone) or clip-on tuner (tutor can
advise during first session), music stand, pencil, eraser, folder.

TUTOR: Minuk is an experienced teacher and active amateur chamber
musician. Having been classically trained on the violin, Minuk more recently
discovered the joys of playing ukulele and is keen to encourage community
music-making using this delightful instrument.

Due to COVID restrictions, the class on 26 August will be held on Zoom
