Class time: 10:30-11:15
Mary Kehoe Centre, Room 2
The ukulele is an inexpensive and relatively easy instrument to play. It is perfect for communal music-making. This class is open to beginners and will focus on techniques to strum basic chords to accompany songs. Some singing is involved, but you don’t need to be a strong singer to join this group.
Students should start within the first two weeks of the course. After the first two weeks, students who have had previous musical experience may be able to join, but should consult Minuk on firstname.lastname@example.org before enrolling
REQUIREMENTS: No previous experience required. Please contact the tutor if you have any serious problem with normal hand/wrist movements.
Students must have their own ukulele. I am happy to give information on selecting an instrument. A music stand would also be useful
NB: If you have had some experience with ukulele or guitar, the 4M09 Fun Ukes or 4M07 Beaut Ukes classes may be a more suitable group for you. Please contact Minuk on email@example.com if you have any queries.
TUTOR: Minuk is an experienced teacher who has been formally trained in classical music. She enjoys playing music in small ensembles and is keen to help others to gain musical knowledge and develop the technical skills that facilitate participation in community music-making.
NO NEW ENROLMENTS AFTER THE FIRST TWO WEEKS
