Aristotle: Virtue as a Mean
Epicurus: Against Epicures
The Stoics: Nature and Reason
Bentham: The Felicific Calculus
Mill: Higher and Lower Pleasures
Kant: The Categorical Imperative
Nietzsche: Beyond Good and Evil
Sartre: Existentialism
Murdoch: Moral Attention
Excerpts will be provided, and a number of key points identified and
critically discussed..

TUTOR: Douglas has philosophy degrees from Monash University (MA) and
the University of St Andrews, Scotland (PhD). He taught philosophy at
Melbourne State College and then for many years at the University of
Melbourne. He has been joyfully involved at U3APP since 2018.
