2. University of Melbourne: Systems Garden, Professors Walk and
underground car park area

Depending on circumstances there may be a change in gardens visited. Students will be kept informed of any alterations & details of meeting places

REQUIREMENTS: Clothes and shoes suitable for outdoors, hats, sunscreen,
umbrellas, notebooks and pens, cameras if desired.

NOTE: Students will be required to make their own way to the gardens,
possibly as a group. (All gardens are accessible by public transport and

This course involves walking around gardens to view and discuss them. It is
suggested that students bring a snack on each day. Coffee/ tea can be
purchased at own cost.

early years she worked as a gardener at Fitzroy Gardens, then with a
number of private architecture/landscape design firms. She was Chief

Canberra. Later in her career, she lectured in landscape design- and
gardening-orientated areas at several TAFE Colleges. She has travelled

retirement, she volunteers at the RBG Melbourne, specifically working in the
Children’s Garden.
