Current Affairs is about sharing information and opinions concerning international, national and/or local matters that are of interest, possibly controversial or having impact on the way government/society/culture/ business function and respond to a changing world.
The matters discussed are identified by members of the class, They may be of an immediate nature or members may, on occasions, decide to focus on a number of particular topics for more detailed analysis.
It is recognised that members have access to different sources of information, thus the value of discussion is enhanced by members sharing their contacts.
Current Affairs does not have a political agenda.
In essence, participation is about expanding personal insight and understanding.
REQUIREMENTS: A commitment to contribute to discussion, share information, be open to a variety of opinions and concepts.
