The course will cover popular French songs from the 20th century – with one new song per week.

It will cover information about the background to each song and singer.

The course will include translation, and focus on clear pronunciation and singing the song by the class in French.

Subject to the success of the course, the class will be encouraged to sing all the songs in a mini concert at the end of the term.

REQUIREMENTS: Basic knowledge of French and a willingness to sing.

TUTOR: David is an experienced singer and performer who has sung with  and organised choirs and musical groups in the UK over many years.

He has also been a member of the MSO Chorus.David has an A-level in French and French Literature. He has worked in France and Brussels over a number of years, understands French grammar and is now a moderate to reasonable French speaker.
