Australia’s climate war goes back to the beginning of the century. Not only have we tried and discarded more policies on climate change than most countries have even considered, we’ve also left the political carcasses of several prime ministers rotting on the battlefield. Federal Labor achieved government with a small policy agenda and inherited a big policy vacuum. They also inherited an energy system in crisis. After 3 months, it’s timely to assess progress so far and how things are looking for the rest of this government’s term.
