Trump or a Trumpist could very well win the 2024 Presidential election and if he does, American democracy as we have known it will probably come to an end.
The latest book by Bruce Wolpe Trump’s Australia will be the focus of the U3APP seminar on 15 July. The seminar will take the form of a conversation between Bruce Wolpe and Jim Walter canvassing key issues in the book and most tellingly what a Trump victory might mean for Australia. ”True, timely and terrifying”, writes Sean Kelly, columnist, and author.
Bruce Wolpe is a Senior Fellow (non-resident) at the United States Study Centre at the University of Sydney. He worked with the Democrats in the US Congress during President Obama’s first term, he was Chief of Staff for Prime Minister Julia Gillard, and he was a senior executive at Fairfax media 1998-2009.
Jim Walter is emeritus professor of politics at Monash University and an active member of Port Phillip U3A. He has published widely on prime ministerial leadership, political history, political ideas, and political biography.
This seminar is open to all U3A Port Phillip members and subscribers and to the general public.
