U3APP uses the automatic generation of emails for several functions, such as WAITLIST and CANCEL (for full courses).
You must login to use the WAITLIST or CANCEL buttons to generate the appropriate email. If you haven't already logged in, clicking on the WAITLIST or CANCEL button will take you to the login page. Login, then return to the page you were on and try again.
Once you are logged in, when you click on the word, it opens a special link called a mailto: link.
When you click on any mailto: link (on any website), a pre-filled email should open up in the email client that you normally use. Examples of email clients are Windows Mail, Apple Mail, Outlook and Gmail.
If that doesn't happen, it means the setting on your device for mailto: links isn't correct. We know that most people don't know how to change these settings, so here are some options:
- Quick fix - try the WAITLIST or CANCEL function on another device, eg your iPhone or iPad
- if you are a Gmail user, click here for detailed instructions to fix the problem permanently
- For a Windows or Mac computer, find a tech-savvy friend, neighbour or relative and ask them to correct your mailto: link settings for you to fix the problem permanently.
- If you have a Windows 10 computer and want to try changing the settings yourself, there are instructions with screen shots here. In Windows 11, the word "link" is used instead of "protocol", but otherwise the steps are much the same.
