Membership fees
$40.00 per person for a calendar year (four terms), or any part thereof.
Membership fees for each calendar year can be paid from 1 November in the preceding year, and then any time during the year.
Please note:
- Your annual fee is a fee for membership in U3A Port Phillip; this does not guarantee you a place in any specific course.
- If you join U3APP and pay your membership in September or October so that you can join a course running in Term 4, you will be asked to renew your membership for the following year in November. If you only want to attend courses next year, please don't pay before 1 November.
- On 31 October each year, your membership status changes from "Member" to "Unfinancial Member". Unfinancial members can still attend courses until the end of the year.

Member of another U3A?
If you are a full member of another U3A you can also join U3A Port Phillip as a full member. To join our organisation, go to the Joining U3A Port Phillip page and follow the instructions.
Payment by new or renewing member
First check that you are logged in. At the very top of the screen, you will see a Login button if you are not yet logged in. (If you are logged in, the Logout button is displayed).
When you login you will automatically go to the U3A Port Phillip Members page. If you have not yet paid your membership (i.e. your membership status is Free Subscriber or Unfinancial Member), the Pay by card button is displayed. Click on the button and follow the instructions to pay your membership using a debit or credit card.
Reminder: How to login
Your username is your email address. If you haven't logged in before, your password will also be the same as your email address. Enter your email in both places. If you want to, you can then change your password to something you will remember after you have logged in.
If the system won't accept your email address as your username, it may be because you have changed your email, but not notified U3APP of the change. If so, please send an email from your new email address to webmaster@u3app.com.au
If you have already set a password, but have forgotten it, please send an email to webmaster@u3app.org.au and a human being will reset your password for you.
Once you have logged in, you can change your password or any other details, by going to the Update your details page.
The above describes online payment, which is the preferred method. For payment in person or by mail, download the Membership form from the Library page and follow the instructions on the form.
Do you have concerns about paying online?
Should you have concerns about security on the internet when paying by credit card or debit card, here is how we handle online payments.
U3APP uses a payment gateway called Stripe. Stripe security meets Payment Card Industry compliance standards and does not capture any personal information when you make a payment. Your card details are not retained.
Stripe provides us with payment records of who paid (name and email address) and when, using what type of card, but not the actual card details. These records are only referenced by IT and/or the Treasurer when we have a query from a member about their payment.
